Council of Municipal Court Judges
The Council of Municipal Court Judges met May 13-15 at the Westin Jekyll Island Hotel for their Summer Law & Practice Update and Business meeting. Justice Charlie Bethel served as guest speaker and swore in the newly elected Officers. The Council also recognized many deserving judges and staff members of the Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts (JC/AOC) and the Institute of Continuing Judicial Education (ICJE).

2025 Summer Law Practice Update and 2025 Legislative Update
Tracy Mason, Deputy Director JC/AOC presented the 2025 Legislative Update, in conjunction with Chief Judge Charles Barrett at the Municipal Judges Aummwr Law Practice Update.The municipal judges Council past presidents and AOC staff members meet for a breakfast meeting in conjunction with the Summer Law & Practice Updates. Members shared their experiences and accomplishments during their tenure as president.
The CMuCJ 6th district held its spring meet and greet at the Commemorative Air Force Airbase in Peachtree City, Georgia. Attendees were treated to a a tour of the museum and had the opportunity to be up close and personal with historic military airplanes!
